Position Summary:
The Boston Partners Portfolio Operations group is responsible for all trade life cycle events, client account life cycle events, reconciliation and data integrity. The Head of Portfolio Operations will supervise a team of Portfolio Operations Analysts, manage our relationship with Northern Trust – a key service provider of outsourced middle and back office functions – and liaise with clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the Portfolio Operations group in concert with IO mission statement objectives.
- Manage Portfolio Operations personnel and foster growth by partnering with individual analysts and coaching them on value-add projects
- Northern Trust vendor management
- Day-to-day escalation point for material or aged items
- SLA annual review
- Quarterly Service reviews; coordinate Boston Partners scorecard
- Change control and change management
- Weekly operational calls and issue log review
- Sustain a solid control environment to mitigate operational risk associated with all Portfolio Ops tasks and document relevant procedures
- Set up the operational platform for new investment asset classes, products, and vehicles
- Effectively communicate with senior members of the operations department as well across departments within Boston Partners
- Continuous Process Improvement

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required, some managerial experience preferred
- More than 7 years of operations experience with global settlements, at least two years in a similar role
- Strong Understanding of global equities. OTC equity swaps, exchange traded options and futures as well as derivative life cycle process
- Detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with many fund structures (mutual, UCIT, institutional, commingled, limited partnerships) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required
